4 Ways to elevate your home Yoga space

Practicing Yoga from home has so many benefits and one of the best things for me is creating a space that really makes me feel comfortable, cosy and nourished. Here are 4 ways that I elevate my person space at home to encourage me to practice more often and to really create a peaceful and calm sanctuary.

1) Scents - I love my Aery candles! I use different scents for different times of the day and you can see them all here. If you don’t have a candle then you can use essential oils like Lavender or an incence stick. There’s something so calming about a burning candle and the aroma of an essential oil or insence stick can really help to calm the nervous system down.

2) Eye mask - I love popping an eye mask over my eyes during the relaxation in Shava Asana. This helps my body sink in to a much deeper relaxation and shuts out any distractions.

3) Calming colours - I love using earthy, natural colours as this seems to calm my nervous system, however if that’s not your style find the colours that make you happy and treat yourself to a blanket, mat or eye mask in that colour.

4) Create an altar or a focal point - You can use a little stool to place your favourite book, crystal and palo santo bowl on to create a little altar or focal point. This can encourage you to use this space more often for reading, relaxing and any other self-care activity.
